WINTER 2005 NEWS
The ‘Ville features a MAD Labs Neve VR-60 console and a Steinway baby
grand piano. Session highlights include:
It was Christmas in June at HarariVille as recording was completed for
“Christmas Sing-Along Car-i-oke”. The book and cd covers 22 festive
songs distributed by Workman Publishing. Original arrangements
were composed and produced by Rob Harari. Engineering duties were
handled by Harari, Matt Sietz and assisted by Stephen Puig. Every family
should have one of these sing-along cds before they head over the river
and through the woods this holiday season.
The internationally acclaimed jazz trombonist Chris Washburne and
his band SYOTOS returned to mix their latest recording titled
“Land of Nod”. The band has been dubbed ‘the busiest and most in demand
Latin jazz group in New York’. The Jazzheads Records label will
carry the release which was engineered by Rob Harari and assisted by
Stephen Puig.
Recording was completed for an audio book based on the autobiography of
Jack Dempsey. Boxing’s Best Friend Verne “Bulldog” Williams
is the voice of the boxing legend for the project which logged nearly
100 hours of recording and editing. Co-produced by Rob and Verne, the
book is expected to be available digitally within the coming months.
Jersey City rockers BipolarJ recorded their soon to be released
E.P. at the ‘Ville with Rob Harari producing. BipolarJ, the
collaboration of James Black and James Grasselino, is self-described as
‘vigorous experimentation with the notions of style, substance and
musical intellect’. The band has been writing and performing all over
the NYC area.
Harari has also been keeping one foot in the tap dance world. Andrew
Nemr and Tap Legacy Foundation launched a new dance company
at the Playwrights Horizon in NYC with a dazzling contemporary show
titled “All For Love”. Rob handles all tech and live sound for the
production. Unable to catch that performance? Look for a return
engagement in NYC early next year.
